If you can make it through this for about a week or so, you will get past the worst part and the rest will be down hill. I have smoked heavily in my past and felt the same thing when I stopped, but when I wasn't hanging around anybody that smoked I couldn't just go out and buy it myself so I pretty much had to quit. I would feel these symptoms (or withdrawals) for about a week, actually less. Then they went away and I would start to recover and felt better. I hope this helps or at least lends some support..good luck and God bless.

I've just done the same thing, 16 years i was smoking and i stopped on Sunday as i have an acute anxiety disorder, weed may not be responsible for it but since i stopped i can think more rationally. I've never eaten so many bananas in my whole life, when i feel like a joint i have a banana (odd i know) but it is helping to put things in perspective. Eat fruit and when you feel stressed think of the advantages of not smoking weed, give yourself a goal, think of all the money you will save and perhaps spend it instead on a wonderful holiday, good luck and stay with it

Its great that you quit so hang in there
with just weed you can probably be OK if you have someone to talk to a support group but the effects will be temporary maybe 1 2 weeks, but keep in mind the THC can stay in your system for 1 month or longer, it is also hydrophobic and polar and stored in your fat cells, so If you exercise often and eat healthy it will get the remaining THC out of your system, make sure you take vitamins and drink lots of water, but I am so glad you kicked it i because t would just never benefit you in the long run

I think this is normal and will go away. I would state your concerns with a doctor and also ask if there is anything you can do to make sure you stay away from this drug. I do know that it will be very difficult to quit if you are still around it (friends/family)
I am assumeing you used to relax. Weed can cause someone depression so keep that in mind while quiting.
Good luck

Its hard to do it on your own, turn to family or friends (who don't smoke) I promise they will make it easier if you can talk to them and let them know you might need to vent to them. Also it might be a good Idea to see a psychiatrist, Don't let them prescribe you anything though (drugs) because you could get addicted to those. You just need someone to talk to. A lot of jobs provide free counseling and its private so you don't have to worry about any employees knowing of your issues. Another thing that worked for me, I substituted something else for whenever I had cravings, I would go out to eat with a friend and order my favorite dish, or I would go see a movie, I would go somewhere where I know I couldn't smoke and most importantly I would make sure it was somewhere that I like and with a person that I like and would support me. Please don't give up, you can do it! I promise it will be worth the effort, one day you'll wake up and realize that you don't have the cravings to smoke anymore and you'll be so proud of yourself for being strong and you'll realize that you are in control of you life not anyone or anything else. Good Luck! you can always email me if you need help or need to talk to someone, I know how you're feeling.

You got used to relying on it, that's what happened. Xanax can help you even out.
Maybe you should have cut back slowly?
Its a psychological dependency you're dealing with unfortunately.
Everything in moderation, remember!
Why did you quit altogether, anyways? Weed's actually good for you in moderation and responsible use. Too much of anything is bad. If you eat too many carrots, you'll turn orange. It will probably take you a week to feel 'normal'.

Your refusing your body something that it has gotten use to having, so your are going through withdrawls. Anyone who says pot is not addicting is way off, as many of us ex smokers can tell you. Each person is going to go through the "detox" a little differently, for me it was restless sleep and I became irratable. It passes, you just need to find something to replace the pot. For me, I replaced the pot with doing word searches. It is not nearly expensive, and it gets your brain focused on something other than wanting to light up.
Congrats and good luck

Not DT, but it is really common to become depressed after quitting. You should find something healthy to relplace that "activity' with. Good for you for quitting. Your life will become better because of it. It's just hard at first.
