wow,I really wasn't expecting so many answers so soon (my question yesterday)!I realise how many of us go through things that we really don't deserve.
I wanted to thank you all for your answers and support.I got a lot out of them (it's the first time I write in this forum so I don't know if the rating thing is important....but believe me I would put max rating to all of you).I'm glad to hear that 99% of you managed to see the good side of these horrible situations.I'm sure I will too.I suppose I already am in a way.I was just thinking today that, yes,maybe opposites DO attract but I realise that opposites are really not made to live together (and my god do I realise now that HE and I don't have the same view of life and relationships).
In any case, thank you again for all your stories! I hope you will all read this.
Just one last curiosity: did any of these "idiots" come back on their knees? Do not get me wrong, I would never take him back if he ever regrets...but it may feel good..?;)

Many try crawling back - thats the fun part - you get to turn the tables and treat him like crap. Who says revenge isnt sweet. The biggest kick in the teeth to a man is to show him you're strong and moved on. Believe me - I know from experience. Good luck to you xx

You're welcome, I'm sure your question had stirred up some memories for many of us! It sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders; I have a feeling you will get through this, and make the best of it.
Did he come back on his knees? Well, in a sense... I have received a heart-felt apology, and in all fairness he had tried to "make it up to me" by being there for me in some tough situations. He tells me to this day what a big mistake he had made. But honestly, it doesn't really matter; his word doesn't carry much weight with me. I'm not angry with him or anything - looking back, I'm actually very thankful I am not married to this person anymore.

That blows, what suckass position. notwithstanding, once you replace her you'd be ready to be acquaintances and could no longer provide a rat's about what in the hell she does or who with. If someone blew me off for yet another, i'm grew to change into off, no longer jealous and if she does it now she'll do it back so, see you later sucker! That meaningless, continually searching for a thrill or newness, for all of us with an I.Q. larger than an a 12 year old's at 35 will see that that revolving door is going to get their old *** dizzy sometime and Bubbles or Dirk shouldn't sluggish their 22 year old %., so i think undesirable if those "Deep Souls" that determined that way of life replaced into going to be a astonishing determination, hopefully they do no longer have canes and may want to shop up. imagine of it and him. Are you similar? If no longer, then this is no longer even a YOU vs. him, it is a distinction in flavor or needs. So, geez, do no longer enable it make you sense below. I had a dude that like diverse races, no longer a element i visit even research to and so i am going to not in any respect in advantageous condition his flavor and that i does no longer opt to be or seem as if any of them, so who cares, no slam on my ego? So, both you weren't accurate for another and she kept you time or she'll remorseful about the dumbass determination if she ignored the boat. My ex crawled back. First time, I fell for it. I thought I was in love and that I'd won. Then I realised what a t@%spot I'd won! He's tried a few times since, but I've gathered all my strength and just sat and laughed as one woman after another realises wha they've got involved with and kicking him out.

My ex left me for another woman. He found out that I was dating another man and acted like I was suppose to put my life on hold until he wanted me back. He still calls and wants to know if I am seeing anyone. I finally told him that I am happily engaged and want him out of my life for good. Most men are just jerks.

My boyfriend took me on holiday to Dubai, we had a great time together and when we returned he dumped me saying that we was two different people and not compatible, i found out a week later that whilst we was away in Dubai his ex girlfriend was moving her stuff back into his house!
I have recently met someone else and he has got back in to contact
I bet you can think to what i told him!!!!

My 1st love left me for another woman after dating half of middlesex before that.
I was young 17 when i met him thought he was great. lost my virginity to him and everything! warning bells shuold have rung after 3 months when my best mate saw him being rather too nice to another girl in local nightclub and told me we argued adn i fell out with her for a time, he told me he loved me you see! Thought i was getting married that was it for me!
then i found out little stories over the next 2 years, people kept telling me stories etc etc... even his best mate tried to tell me. I kinda worked it out for myself in the end. Had made up with my best mate and we went to the local nightclub where i would catch him, was with an old school friend. Slapped him scared her and left! He moved in with her the next day told everyone else i was sleeping with somene behind his back! needless to say my so called 'mates' apart from my best mate ditched me! The same girl he was now seeing i used to drop her to the local town when i used to see her at the bus stop and she was gonig to my mans house! so amusing now! that was about 8 years ago and now i see him around hes fat and she dumped him 2 years later after making my life a living hell for the whole time, phonecalls, threats etc etc... so i should hate all men for the first ever relationship but had some cracking men after that some real goodies adn the one im with now wouldnt hurt me for the world so he taught me 1 thing there are goodies out there! and always trust your instincts! xxxx

Oh yeas he did! He told me that he still loved me. he apologized for what he did and told me that we didn't have to go through with the divorce.
I said... NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And told him that he had to live with what he did for the rest of his life.
I won;t lie, it was a huge ego booster to finally get the upperhand and the luxury of giving him the final rejection. It's empowerment and gave me closure.

yes and they all try coming back . mine did and i did not take him back and he has had his share of other women kicking him to the curb. So you see we all have had this done to us ,how we deal with it says alot about us.Since none of us has taken back then i guess we are a bunch of smart women on yahoo answers. Well let us all have a drink to the smart women that we are.

They all try and come back with their sorrys and how much they love you,but giving in to another chance really is not worth the crap.
