I need a good platform for a chat cliant that i will be making for my spiritual organization?

does anybody no of a good starting platform,P.S this will me a first for me I have never made one before.Any advice would be more than I have now.

Well, it is probably going take at least a year for you to learn enough to be able to make one. Your best best is just to find one that fits your needs. There are lots of free ones to choose from. You should go to http://wikipedia and do a search for chat software.

They are typically desgned in C++, Java, or Flash as the platform.
