My dad loves nature. He lives in Mexico so I want to get some sequoia seeds just for having one of theses trees in our home. Do you know if there is a restriction trying to take sequoia seeds to Mexico? Wich problems could I face trying to plant a sequoia in Mexico?

Thanks in advance.

I couldn't find anything restricting the export of the seeds to Mexico, but here's the USDA's export regulations.

As far as growing the trees, it would depend on the climate of the area in which your dad lives. Compare his climate to the climate of the zones recommended by the site above.

You can buy small sequoia plants in tourist shops in the Redwood Forests of California, never seen just the seeds.

Actually growing one in Mexico would be very difficult, see information below
