"better" is such a loaded term...it does smack of moral relativism and arrogance.....and I leave that lofty pedastal for the Xians.
I'm not sure about the word "beliefs" either, as that is used so much by theists, that it is associated with "knowledge" acquired by faith rather than reason
I think my beliefs are more logical and rational because they are evidence based, and can be tested. The burden of proof always rests with the person proposing the idea that doesn't appear self evident.
Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence....and what could be more extraordinary than the claim there is an infinitely wise and powerful being who is omniscient and transcends time and space.....

My beliefs are not better, and i never claimed they were. They are perfect FOR ME, but that doesn't make them necessarily right or wrong. I think we, as a society, need to concentrate more on how we treat each other and leave religious beliefs to the individuals who possess them

Its not what makes one better than the other. I think its to make the world a better place, raise our children to be better than us. Accepting what is unchangeable, and changing what can be better. Doing the right thing. If every religion was based on moral and respect for others and the self highest of all, then maybe no one would think of themselves or their religion better than anyone else!

Not better than anyone else just better for me. Faith is something that is very personal and deep. My faith is that way. When I claim my faith it doesn't elevate me up but humbles me before a Holy God that I have committed crimes against Him and him alone. It doesn't make me any better just makes me realize just how wrong and lost I am.
See faith for me is not about lifting me up or making me better. No in fact if there is anything better about me as a person, it is because of the way I have model my life to follow the beliefs that I claim. In other words those around me are the ones who actually benefit from me practicing my beliefs.
If my faith is real then I don't need to parade it, no, it will show by my action and deed. See I profess faith in Christ Jesus and in doing so I am suppose to model my life in the manner in which he taught. That means putting others before myself, treating others in the manner in which I want to be treated myself. Love my neighbor as myself and to love my enemies. Not as easy as it sound and believe me I fall way short but I don't stop trying.
So if anything about me seems to be better it is not from anything that I have do of myself but something that by faith has changed in me. So I'm not better but humbled.

Nothing. I don't think that I'm better than anyone else, nor are my beliefs. I just mind my own business!

I'm not better than anyone else. I don't claim I am. And my beliefs are not better. They're mine. That's VERY different.

Every one think that he/she and their beliefs make them better than others. Otherwise they would not be having those beliefs.

It's not that my beliefs in themselves are greater than any others rather my beliefs guide my life, and act as a moral compass that other do not exhibit, and thus do not act in the same ways that i consider dignified or appropriate.

Nothing. My beliefs only work for me.
(though, I know a few people who would be better off ... never mind ...)
