I truly believe we can learn not to hate, at least not to hate each other. I believe that we can and should teach ourselves and our children. What are you feelings about this?

As long as desire exists we will never be free of negative emotions. The only way to eliminate hatred would be to exist in a state of neutrality. Perhaps god is neutral.

The human being is the most powerful being on earth. I believe that can rise above any negative feelings there is.

It's just that some people overrule the fact that love is what makes the world go around, and they just go around spreading hatred to their own benefits...

We can indeed as individuals learn not to hate if: we see people as our fellow humans and don't prejudge by category. We realize
that all of us are in jeopardy on this planet and hatred is counter productive. We apply principle, such as the golden rule to all we meet. And if we look to a source higher than ourselves, who has no hidden agenda, can't be bribed, and offers to all equal opportunity for a good life

I believe that hate is part of the human condition. It is part of our sinful nature. The heart of the human problem is the problem with the human heart, and thus we have to be changed from a source outside of ourselves, namely Jesus Christ.
We cannot "learn" how to not hate, it is against our nature. If you clean a pig up, put nice clothes on it, and perfume, that doesn't change the fact that it is still a pig, and the first chance it gets it will wallow in the mud. Human beings, no matter how hard we "dress ourselves up" and pretend not to hate, it is still who we are, thus we have to be changed from an outside source. We cannot do it ourselves.

Yes Debra! We can learn not to hate. It is a training of the mind and heart. Every time we start to feel this emotion we can resist it. After a good long while, this just becomes a habit.

Las Vegas Steve has a problem with hate and anger, seems to me. He cultivates it.

Of course. With HIS HELP, through prayer!
We must learn to love each other, to take care of each other!

"we can and should teach ourselves and our children" not to hate and to pray with a smile on our face because God is Love and He waits for us to pray, to sing, to say"i love You, my Lord!"

That choice is a personal preferance. But hate will always exist. You can not have good wiothout evil. You can not have a posotive without a negative. Otherwise there would be nothing to compare it to. How would you know what is good if you did not know what is evil? How would you know pleasure without pain? How can one appreciate peace if they have nothing to compare it to? PEACE

We need more simplistic simpletons like you to preach about hatred in a simplistic way so that complex problems that dont have simple answer can be solved in a simplistic way by simpletons on the computer.

As long as religions do hateful things, NOT HATING them is not even good for your mental health and your survival. I'd rather keep on hating the Church that has killed so many people and is responsible for the starvation of my people.

Only when we get rid of the evil of organized religion which is the cause of most of the worlds hate

Truthfully if you looked at the actions of the religious you would see that is not true, I guess you are too brainwashed to see it!
