Many people spend a lifetime trying to find their life purpose. You are young - and should explore your options.

If you really want you could get some career testing done - these are assessment tests that test your personality and skills and fit them together to recommend careers that you would excel at. I did this and found the career of my dreams. Their are many agencies out there that do this.

I strongly believe that you should do what will make you fulfilled - because if you work a career you resent what do you have at the end of the day - money and resentment - as opposed to fulfillment and money. Best of luck to you! :)

I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life until the day I graduated college with a bachelor's at the age of 26. Unfortunately, I am not able to do what I want to quite yet because I feel that being a stay at home mom is best for my kids. When they get into school, then I will finally do what I want. My brother is 23 and still doesn't have a job and barely goes to school. It is becomming more normal for people to not know what they want from life until a later age.

My advice is to explore any and all options available. Try different things and see what your interests are. Unless you are sitting on a couch in front of a tv at your parents house and not working, you are NOT at a stand still. Just go out and do stuff and good luck.

Regardless of what others may say, including family, it is quite normal. You are still young, and just may be what is called a late bloomer. You do not say what your circumstances are, but there are a lot of opportunities out there. Might you work well with people, are you better working on your own, what are your latent talents?; all of these are considerations. I worked for a long time with clerical temporary agencies. I was a late bloomer, and along with my husband, am uber talented. Hubby was late bloomer also. We married at 42, and are a very, young vibrant 51 now. Time is on your side, so trust God for the answers to your "What to do delimma". I'll be praying for you.

Yes, I believe it is normal.

Not everyone know what they want to do in life; like me. I feel I want to be something totally different than where my life is leading. But I'm taking it as it is, and if I don't like it, I can easily change my path.

Heck, even 30-60 year old still have no clue what they are doing.

Go take the army's recruiting test. There's no obligation to join the military, but the test is great. It tries to tell you what jobs you would be good at and you can use that as a starting point to choose a career.

At 24, it's okay not to know. I'll bet a lot of us were there.

Cut yourself some slack, and take your time finding your path.
