And if your should go to South America and bring it back to the US, you are liable to a charge of importing narcotics and a fine or jail term, depending on any previous issues, just having it in you luggage in flight over the US airspace, to Canada is a federal offence, it is a dangerous experiment, if you travel there, try it, it has a mild effect on you unless your consuming a large amount, and it does go through you quickly I must add.

My advice is don't risk a problem when coming back and a mark on your personal ife, after that if it is found, you may only be travelling in the US, as your passport might be revoked.

It's my understanding that there is no legal use of coca leaves in the USA. Bolivia is where coca leaf tea is most accepted and legally consumed.
