I know UK passport holders get an automatic 6 month visa, but don't want to take the chance of arriving in NZ only to be turned away when they scan my passport. The conviction was 5 years ago with no prison etc just probation.
Will it show up when they scan my passport and if so, will it prevent me from entering the country?

My Dad just went to New Zealand last month, and he has an old felany charge that did not stop him from entering the country. I think it depends on how old the charges are. I know in the US, they won't even give you a passport if you can't leave the country, so it may be the same there?

Best to make sure and make some phone calls!

Any criminal record is taken off your name after 2 years, but check just in case.
