I have a queston for ya'll. I have been nursing for 8 1/2 months now. Last month I got my period for the first time PP. Now .... it is time again for my period and it isn't here. Could I be pregnant or do you miss periods while nursing after you have started them? We are only nursing about 3 times a day so I don't know what is going on. What are your ideas?

If you've had unprotected sex during the past month, then yes,
you could indeed be pregnant again. Since you're down to three times a day & have begun menstruating again, your hormone levels are settling in to what they would have been pre-pregnancy. I suggest you get a test & see what it says. Whichever way YOU want it, Good Luck!!!

Are you having unprotected sex? Then the answer is yes, there is a chance that you can be pregnant.

Make an appointment with your ob/gyn and have them do a pregnancy test on you to be sure. You can call him/her and ask him how long it takes for your cycle to get back to normal. My period came back 3 months after I had my son, I did not breastfeed though.

Good Luck.

when you nurse less often than usual, IE, return to work etc. You will start your period again. Birth control is still needed while breast feeding, if you are having sex. Only you would know if its a possibility that your pregnant....Take a test to make sure because breastfeeding and early pregnancy can cause miscarriages, I believe....

You could possibly be pregnant, or you breastfeeding can also affect your period. I had my period for 2 months and then didn't get it for another 4 months with my 1st daughter.

You definitely could be pregnant, because many women become pregnant while breastfeeding. Why not get a home pregnancy test and find out?

Yes. You can get pregnant while breastfeeding. It doesn't stop you from ovulating, especially 9 months after your last birth.

You could be pregnant or your body might be trying to adjust back to the way that it use to be. Remember, just because you are breastfeeding does not mean that you cannot get pregnant. It just lessens the possibility.

Nursing and pregancy has nothing to do with each other. You should not miss your period when you are breast feeding. Take a pregancy test that is the only way to be sure
