My boyfriend used to do this. If he bad mouths his ex to you while keeping in contact with her then it usually means that he still has feelings for her. If he considers her a 'friend' then that should have been his answer. Since he said he doesn't know, that would thrown up red flags for me. I think there's still attachment issues there.

I keep in contact with my ex b/f every day. We have deep feelings for each other and would like to have another chance in the future but we could not get through some of our problems right now.

When we visit we are having sex. But for now there is no one "special" in each of our lives. I hope you noticed that I said "special" b/c that is the key to our friend/relation(ship) now. I don't know how things will work out if one of us truly moves on.

I think that we would remain friends AFTER the hurt is gone.

i personally like to stay friends with some of my ex boyfriends and my new boyfriend does not have a problem with it( so sweet) Ask him if u have to worry about it anything between him and his ex. tell him to be honest. don't make him not talk to his ex cuz that just makes u look like u don't trust him or something. don't jump to conclusions unless u have some sort of proof. i hope it works out and remember everyone has guy frinds ang girl friends and there is not much u can do about that.
