Depends how big the brisket is. Nip down to your local butchers and ask them, they'll be able to tell this one !!!!

This is like one of those horried story problems from high school. :)
A serving is usually 4 oz. I'd normally say take that times 1.5 since some eat more, some eat less. However, it's a festive dinner so people might pig out more. So maybe 8 oz. per person.
Now, you also have to consider shrinkage of the brisket. If the label say 9 pounds, it may only be 7 by the time it's cooked off.
Also, I can only assume there will be plenty of other things to eat.
But for people who are doing such good work, I'd err on the side of having too much food rather than running out.

1/2 - 3/4 pound per person. Think of it as eating a steak. 1/2 pound equals 8 ounces, 1 pound equals 16 ounces. In addition to all the other side dishes I would say our guys & gals of the National Guard would like 3/4 pound per person. So for 150 people that would be 113 pounds of brisket. If you decide to go with 1/2 pound per person that would be 75 pounds of brisket. At about 10 pounds per brisket you will need 8 - 12 briskets.

General rule in catering:
1lb per person if meat has bone Turk.chkn. etc...
1/2 lb per person without bone
But since we are talking alot of men most will eat 3/4 to 1 lb. So be sure and add extra so you don't run out. Another trick is to when you set your buffet start with rolls, veggies potatoes, then meat. The reason for this is their plate will be full and leave little room for meat assuring for proper portion. They can always come back for more.

You'll need about 21-25 briskets, depending on the size, of course. (Do they all eat beef? Are there any vegetarians? Will EVERYONE be eating the brisket?)
