I don't know if it is a good lie but a little while ago i had this guy that was interested in me but unfortunately i was not with him. he was not my type at all but he would not take no for an answer. As whatever i had tried and did not work i decided that i would tell him that i have got back together with my ex boyfriend, I also told him that i have given his number to my new/ ex boyfriend. It must have worked because I have not heard anything from him since!

Don't lie, just be honest. If you tell a lie you can get trapped in it, and fins yourself having to 'live the lie.' That'll be hard work on your part, and you will get found out in the end.

none - it is always better to tell the truth. lies make situations more complex and worse and worse, you are always better telling the truth and dealing with that pain than you are telling lies and dealing with lots more pain. Plus when you tell lies whenever people figure you out think you are a liar and they can't trust you. Your reputation isn't worth it. It's important to gain people's respect. You'll gain their respect more if you tell the truth. It sounds like you want people to like you. It's more important for them to respect you than like you.
