You could say the same about Christians, Muslims and any other form of religious followers.

Probably gunshy. As a people, they've been through so much, so there is a natural level of collective overcompensation and paranoia. That said, it is unfair to label every Jew the same. Groups like AIPAC and the ADL tend to be very sensitive, slapping the anti-semitic label on anything remotely critical. The Israeli government is naturally belligerent, possibly from latent feelings of guilt over the brutality that Zionism has fostered. But many Jews are thoughtful, and even alarmed at many of the policies carried out in the name of Israel. Read Norman Finkelstein. He has a lot to say about the problems that result when you mix religious theology with politics. And for that matter, American Christianity seems to be caught up in the same syndrome.

And, what....you think Christians can cope with criticism? Why don't you read some of the questions and answers here and then come back and tell me that Christians cope well with criticism? Why do you mention Jews specifically? Can you give some examples of what you are talking about, please?

Why cant anyone accept criticism? Because there are no experts out there who have a qualification to criticise. I think you mean why can't the Jews cope with biggoted comments? Why can't Christians cope with criticism? Why can't the Muslim's cope with criticism? The Jews have been persecuted all through history...give them a break will you.

Do the Muslims or Christians stand upto? Whould should there be any criticism of any religion or of the persons revered in that religion? This great Yahoo/ Answer column can be made best use of, if, we develop mutual understanding and respect among religions. If United in Respect, the Religions would be a force to be reckoned with against the agnostics, the atheists, the pagans, the satan-church goers, the cults, the occultists etc.

Everyone is attacking the asker of this question because he just asked a simple question: "why can't the Jews cope with criticism?
I'm sure all of you would be happy if he was talking about Muslims ha? But Jews are just something we can't talk about?
I'm no racist, but if you're always defending Jews and attacking Islam, then you all must know that WE ARE ALL BROTHERS

Criticism of the Jews is usually met with the predictable cries of antisemitism. I heard one Jew claim that the Arabs are antiSemitic!! Really, how so? The Arabs are Semites - semitic. It's either the antisemitic ploy or "you don't believe in the Holocaust" kind of crap. The English kicked the Jews out of England in the 13th century. Oliver Cromwell let them back in again in the 17th century. How very kind of him.

Funny you should say that, my mate is Jewish, very Jewish and you are absolutely correct, he's always on about money and business (both of which he is crap at) but can't take criticism about his ideas, untill his plan goes t1ts up and has to admit he was talking rubbish.
