Water is the best. If you have to add something, just add a little juice to it.
Yes you can help it! Is that what you want to teach your child?!

Throw some Crystal light or sugar free koolaid in there. That will make it a lot more appealing. You can get lots of flavors of both...
How do these Crystal Light flavors sound?
Raspberry Ice
Strawberry Orange Banana
Pink Lemonade
Fruit Punch
Strawberry Kiwi
Many grocery stores have store brands that are cheap. These products also come in individual sized packets, to add to water bottles (again, stores are starting to make generic packets like this too)
An alternative would be to find an all-natural soda (with no caffeine). Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and Wild Oats Natural Market would all be good sources. The rootbeer is great, and so is the cherry vanilla.

Hi, I'm pregnant too. It's pretty hard to get all the liquids we need, what with morning sickness, & heartburn, and all that. You should try to stick to drinks with as little sugar as possible (and of course limit the caffeine!), and if you're going to drink juice, make sure it's all natural, and not "juice drinks" or "juice cocktails".
Have you tried maybe water with a slice of lemon or lime in it? Or some lemon or lime in carbonated water?
Fruit tisanes would be good too, or maybe decaf coffee....
And make sure you're getting a little milk too, even chocolate milk has all the good stuff in it, just watch out cause of the sugar if almost all your other drinks are sweetened.
I hope you could find a way that you enjoy water though, it would really be the best thing for you & your baby!

Juices...Gatorade...those little flavored water thingies...Capri Suns...Caffeine -free sodas are okay once in a while. Do your best to get that water in though or you'll be miserable. I wasn't drinking as much as I was supposed to and around my 5th month I had a Kidney stone...soo painful...more than labor pains! Just a heads up. Congrats and good luck!

A&W got diet rootbeer RIGHT! and the cream soda isn't bad either. You can also find a plethera of decafe teas-some have traces of caffine, but most (especially herbal teas) don't.
I don't like drinking a lot of water either, but being pregnant you need to force yourself to drink 8 8oz glasses a day. You also need to increase your milk consumption-for both the vitaman d and the calcium.
You and the baby will be glad you did!

There are several non-caffeine soft drinks available, as well as fruit juices, and decaffeinated tea. You can still drink caffeinated drinks but in moderation. I'm a Dr. Pepper drinker too.
