I Live in Florida, lived here my whole life. I'd say yes becuase there are a lot of people who want to be bathing suite ready all year round, and we have a better chance of being outdoors more often, and no because there are still a lot of lazy people in the world, and just because of the geography doesnt make you more active.

Except when they are hiding indoors away from the sun. Too many in Florida do not walk when golfing, whereas golfers in New England probably walk the courses more often.

I am a lifelong Floridian, redhead, freckled, and very fair. Considering our blazing sun here, no I am not more active than I would be in New England.

The most active people here are the tourists.

Although I'm sure there are many very active southerners (when we aren't working)

try shoveling snow out of a driveway for 5 months out of a year...Also a lot of New England states have hard labor jobs (lobstering, offshore fishing, harvesting, farming, etc), that mainly take place in the summer.

according to the CDC and NIH per capita Floridians smoke more; excersice less; and are more obese than the population of Massachusetts.
