It's the way society conditions us. There are cultures that are matriarchal in lineage that the women are the strong ones. So it's not nature, its nurture.

This question is not as cut and dried as you think. Masculine energy is direct, active and focused on left brain. Feminine energy is expansive, passive and focused on right brain. But feelings of security and insecurity exist independently from these two qualities. So the feminine can be very secure and the masculine insecure.
So my answer is NO.

I am not sure what exactly you are trying to say but I do agree that the feminine nature tends to be more passive and submissive, seeking peace and the masculine more aggressive, perhaps more dominate. There males and females that tend to either. But we need both, as both have their roles to play. Feminine nature may be more expansive and submissive but try riling us up and see how protective we can be.

No, it is the masculine nature to be overbearing and often times dominating to the feminine. Therefore resulting in a lifestyle where the feminine recedes and ultimately uses their brain to get what they want.

I suppose that is what man has done to this design, but I don't see your idea as the intended.
Men and women do have different roles, roles that compliment one another and enhance to the point of ultimate teamwork when embraced by each.
This means that neither should feel insecure owing to the other, but equal in all their uniqueness as one truly needs the other in order to even exist.

Its all a matter of perspective. Ignorance is part of it too, that's just the parenting though. Being realistic in this day and time for some is almost to much to ask. Drama in TV doesn't help either!

An exaggerated sense of oneself? What liberal nonsense is that from? Being masculine is exaggerated by the person themselves, not by nature. Men are by nature of a logical straight line thinking, whereas women tend to use emotional thinking which leads to being insecure because the future is not set.

I think men are far more insecure because their masculinity is so narrowly defined and rests on the premise of invulnerability and dominating others. When you have to show yourself as constantly superior and practically inhuman in that you cannot rely on others lest your appear weak, how can you feel secure? In my experience many men who appear confident are really exhibiting bravado, false confidence.

If you mean that women do not have an exaggerated sense of being masters of the universe, than I agree. I, however, do not underestimate my self worth as a human on this planet.

defined biblically men are to be assured in their masculenity. and women are to be feminine but equal, however society has turned this around mostly because around the time of WWII a majority of men were in the military and away from their homes leaving women here to do the jobs that the men left to fight. thus began equal rights for women (which i am not opposed to however with equal rights should come equal responsibility such as the draft) it later got out of hand when women became more aggressive in their struggles and started taking on the role of men in almost all aspects of society today
