The world in general is waking up the danger of Islam. Not every Muslim is a suicidal terrorist, but the the resentment and even hatred for the West is deeply rooted in Islam, particularly among Arabs, Iranians, Afgans and Pakistanis.
In sociological terms, it's the leadership -- both civil and religious -- which has found it useful to demonize the West, and the US and Israel particularly, in order to deflect resentment away from themselves and their incompetence, brutality, and corruption. All politics is local.

You are a bigot because you failed to respond to any of my responses. You fail to understand that what you say is a babyish understanding of the Qur'an. Its funny because most people know about the verses you always quote. However, these same people also know there are specific contexts. Many verses are said figuratively. For example, mutilation of bodies is not allowed in Islam -- there are many instances where Muhammad (pbuh) forbid it.
This is why you are a bigot. Because you purposely pick and choose things to defame a religion while rejecting any explanations. And then you post the same stuff over and over even after being completely proven wrong by several people. Worry, not. God will hold you responsible on the day of Judgement.
Dont worry, your posts make my faith stronger. You come off to me as someone who is so afraid and insecure of Islam that you feel the need to constantly bash it. Give it a chance and I'm sure you'll love it. And if you don't, then let it be. But you only make yourself look like a bigger loser posting all this garbage.
Peace.

So what. Christian leaders interpret the Bible in similar ways. There's been more blood spilled in the name of Christ than in the name of Muhammed. My cousin and father are Muslim and are as peaceful and tolerant as they come. Anyways...the extreme portion of Islam is like that of any other religion: small. You took some ancient text out of context(like the current Pope did a few weeks ago). Islam had an empire to rival the Holy Roman empire and they did it in the same way as Rome: by the sword. Today the Islamic world is a pale shadow of what it once was and they want to recapture some of that past glory.
