Not only does "god" not want people to make statues of graven images, but some people go as far to hook up devices to make them look like their crying (weeping mary statues). Then say no one is allowed to investigate the statue scientifically because "god" wouldn't want them to. "God" didnt want the statue made in the first place. How can people possibly fall for these scams, have they no common sense? If they let it be examined and it turned out to be true it would make a believer out of many, of course it wouldnt be true though, thats why we cant examine them. Not because "god" doesnt want us to , as i said, its a sin to make the statue in the first place.

First of all, if it is a sin to make statues why did God tell Moses to "Make two cherubim of beaten gold for the two ends of the propitiatory..." Ex. 25:18, and to "Make a saraph and mount it on a pole, and if anyone who has been bitten looks at it he will recover." In the temple built by Solomon in 1Kings chapter 6, there were statues of cherubim (verses 24, 29, 32,35) built by Solomon at the command of God.
Second of all, there are scientific tests being done on weeping statues. There is one in Perth, Australia that has been tested. Scientists were unable to find the source of its reported weeping. Curtin University X-ray expert Rob Hart found no cavity or sign of fluid inside the statue, yet there was an oily substance coming from the eyes of the statue. There is another in Santiago which weeps tears of blood. The Santiago coroner's office pronounced the substance is type O-4 human blood. There is yet another in Civitavecchia, not far from Rome, Italy. It too weeps tears of blood that have been tested and found to be human blood. There have been many other reports of weeping statues, many of which have been or are being tested. I don't know where you got the idea that these statues have not been tested but your sources are unreliable. There are some reports of weeping statues that have not been tested, but more are being tested than not.

Yep!
No Christian group should have statues of how they imagine people to look ! Let alone CHEAT the Public.
Sounds like feeding the statues MILK in India doesn't it.
WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE some who want to prosper financially from religion.
SHIMON MANGUS was an example in The Bible.

Wait a sec - youre making fun of people who fall for "scams" like weeping Mary Statues....and yet you beleive in God, in sin, and in the fact that making a statue is a sin in this mythical creature's eyes?
Sounds to me like youre as deluded as they are, just slightly less so....

I like this question ^_^ these statues are in place as part of a prediction made by christ in reference to many who would try to decieve people but not all miracles are from god
in revelation it tells us that the beast (antichrist) is given the power by the dragon (satin) to perform signs and miraculous things
so even if it was proven to be a miracle, yes many people would follow but for the wrong reasons. everyone today wants proof of gods existance and this would give them an excuse to say he exists.
and yes it is a sin to make images to anything on earth or in heaven but also in our minds we worship many things and never knew about it ourselves by devoting our time to television, games, or people we make an image to them in our minds that we worship unwittingly
but have you noticed that it is typicaly catholics that make these graven images?
thank you for that inspiring question

Nobody is required to believe that statues weep, but your claim that these things are not, or have not been thoroughly investigated is absolutely wrong.
Why do you feel the need to lie?

Dude, it doesn't even matter. A church in Australia had one of these that was rigged to cry scented oil. Even after the invesitigation was made public, people continued to flock to the thing, believing it real.
