It really depends on the person. Alot of men grow up when they have children. But if they aren't forced to handle responsiblity then they might not. I know my fiance doesn't take on too much. He grew up some but still acts like a kid himself sometimes too. He does this because i am the one who takes onthe kids and all of thier responsibilities.
Having a baby doesn't mean that you can't do things you like to do. You will just have to talk with him and see what he would be willing to change. You each can go out once a week instead of three times a week. Or have people over instead of going out.
Having a baby changes everything. You have to live for the child...do whats best for the child. And most of the time it is the mom who changes right away...it takes dad some time to get used to things.

Yes, sometimes having a baby does changes the way a person thinks. I love to speed and drive fast cars and did so until my son was born. After that I settled down and drove the speed limit. I also sold my 2 drag cars and my derby and settled for a goos SUV to drive. And now 20 years later I am still driving the speed limit because I am really aware that there are others who have children in thier vehicles. So perhaps having a chils will instil a sense of responsibility in your boyfriend.

It's hard to tell. Some guys will settle down once there baby arrives. Other's wont it all depends on the guy. He may change and he may not. You need to think about whats best for you and if you do have a baby, whats best for the baby. Do you think he is responsible enough to handle a baby?

a baby changes everything...especially for the mother. if he is still too busy parting and what not then my advice is that you should wait until the right person comes along that wants the same things as you. however, you could sit down & talk about this with him & see if he wants a child. if not, then don't try to have one with him. if he's not ready, you are going to be the one stuck at home raising this baby while he stays out partying and this could possibly cause extreme problems. just food for thought.

a lot of guys will continue to be the same way while others will totally change because they want to help out with the baby and take fatherhood responsibility.. i hope that will be your case.
good luck.
