It's sad to read your question. Three-legged animals get along just as well as four-legged ones, and they need the love and caring all the other animals at the pound do, too. I hope you don't lose a leg, an arm or any other part of you so you don't have to find out firsthand how sad that could make you feel if no one loved you.

You are very narrow minded. There are many reasons a dog can have 3 legs. Could be from in proper breeding, a owner who lacks the responsibility of makeing sure their dog is properly leashed or cared for. Dogs get hit by cars, are abused. It is so sad. Only a real dog lover would know what it is like to look into the loyal eyes of a canine friend and know that reguardless of the dogs or humans disability. The pet is Unconditionally loving. A 3 legged dog may not look as good as a 4 legged one, but that does not mean they will not be a wonderful pet. They deserve a chance at a good life too. Wjat if you lost an arm or a leg? Do you think they should put you to sleep because you are not perfect?

For the same reason why handicapped and mentally ill people are cared for and why they are still alive......It's because they need to be loved too.....And just because they are different from others doesn't mean they don't deserve a chance. I'm sure your different from me.....and are you not loved by someone? OK, then, just because a dog has three legs doesn't mean they are stupid in anyway. They were just unlucky when they lost that leg, and in a matter of fact three legged dogs are just as happy and well off, as a four legged one.

If you had only three limbs we should kill you too? Kinda harsh don't you think?
And suppose you had a great dog that was smart and affectionate and well trained. If it had to have it's leg amputated then it would become stupid? You would want to get rid of it and get some random dog fromt he pound?
My shelter rescued a Beagle that was paralyzed in the back legs by a bullet. She learned how to get around in a wheelchair and is happy, healthy and active. Before her injury she was wild and untrained. Now she is smart and affectionate and runs the farm. He favorite game is chasing the cats. She is better now than she was with four legs. Should I kill her?

What do you think should happen to a three legged dog? Put to sleep! If he/she still has life left in them they deserve to live just like a one arm person. If pets are not in your interest, what are you doing here? Your not even asking a question.

Some dogs dont have a choice, you buffoon. They need legs amputated due to RTA's and illnesses. Go do some learning before coming on here and asking ridiculous questions...
