I am looking for technical data on CR4 sheet steel but can't find any information. I can find all sorts of data for lots of different grades of steel, but not for CR4. Does anyone know where I might be able to get some information? I'm asking, as I need the physical data for stress analysis. Does CR4 closely compare with another type/s of steel?

More closely ... CR stands for "cold reduced", rather than "cold rolled". It just happens that rolling is the main method of reducing thickness ...

To answer your question:
CR4 = BS1449 = AISI 1018 = EN 10130

Most often found in European (i.e. British) steel listings, rather than North American or Asian.

CR4 is a BS 1449 Part 1 classification for Cold Rolled Steel.
I believe it is the same as ASTM A366.

CR4 is a "Mild" (low carbon) steel: 0.05% to 0.26% (e.g. AISI 1018 steel).
The expression "CR4" is more often used in Europe where it is classified by British Standard BS 1449 part 1.
