Now the price has gone from 99 cents to 5 bucks since 1969 why so much inflation for a burger?? The burgers today just simply suck. I can BBQ a burger better than any fast food restaraunt sells.

Hmmmm... and how much did you earn per hour for wages back in 1969? $1.75? or was it up to $2.25? And, back then you were buying the Plain Hamberger, small fries, small coke.. now you spend $3.00 for a Double Cheeseburger, medium fries, medium coke (dollar menu items).. and how much do you get paid now? $8.00 per hour? $10/hr? And I bet you keep asking for raises too! ... and... then you want to goof off at work instead of giving a full day like those at McDonalds are required to give. (and they STILL goof off quite a lot!! LOL!)

Very Simple, when one small guy owned it and it was just a small place, quality food and service mattered above all. It's like Wal-Mart. They don't care as long as they can bring in tons of revenue for something that was made at 2 cents an hour.

If the price is too high and you can cook a better burger than the fast food places, then stop going to them.

I think it's because they are using some of the original 1969 patties, so they have to take into account the fact they they are now antiques and therefore more expensive!

You can get a burger for $1 but who knows what's in it. These cows aren't going to just raise themselves. It costs money. At least you don't have to pay for flowers to the cows family.

Because we are lazy... fast food and pre-made frozen dinners have made america FAT and Lazy... What ever happened to a good home cooked meal that was far healthier than fast food. It is a dying art to cook at home!
