I drink alot of water, so I was just wondering.

water is essential to our body so it never just passes through us, though it seems like it some times

It must be absorbed by your body because there is no direct path from the mouth to the kidneys. Your body will use what it needs, and the rest will be filtered out by your kidneys. It is better to drink more rather than less, but it is possible to drink too much.
I drink as much as 4 liters of water per day, even when not exercising hard.

your body only absorbs what it needs...but the extra water will help the kidneys and liver processes. I drink a gallon a day and feel great.

Yes, it is. If you are drinking a lot and you are drinking it really fast.
Drink it slower. You should drink 8 oz. over 30 minutes. No faster.
