I shall be visitin family in San F'do mid Novemeber and bringing my wife - who has never been.. Would like to spend a couple of days at beach, and away from family.. .. I've many pleasant memories of Mayaro and would love to return, but heard that maybe the water is murky with rain run off this time of year and Maracas is a better bet.

Also, I don't imagine there are hotels per se in Mayaro.. how is Maracas Bay Hotel - I've heard mixed reviews.. that being said, we're quite used to "roughing it" - as long as its safe.

Maracus is always much better and this time of year mayaro water is usually rough as its hurricane season. Mayaro also has a high occurance of jellyfish due to the change in current.
Maracus does not have any jelly fishes year round.

Maracas all the way! I don't think they are any really nice hotels up Maracas way. I was going to suggest a day trip to Maracas, but I see you might be travelling up from San'do. Maracas Bay Hotel real gone t'ru I hear. Maybe you could stay with some family up North and then pick a day and go up to the North coast. Have fun, man!

They both had great punching power but Roberto Duran had a big heart along with a better ability to adjust than Trinidad because Trinidad throw most of his punches in a straight line and is sort of one dimensional, once a top boxer like Duran figures that out it will be good night for Trinidad.

My vote wil have to go to Mayaro and since the oil boom there is a lot going on in Mayaro there is a lovely hotel in Guyayguyare, but home sweet home you will have just the same amount of fun whether you are in Mayaro or Maracas.
And November is always a nice time to be at home parang is in the air and that warm feeling of Christmas hits you.
