It can be done but they tend to be small $500-$1,000 and based on membership. If you are a Mason or have a parent who is a member of the VFW or something like that you might.

Do you know which college you would like to attend? Have you narrowed it down? Many colleges list their scholarship opportunities on the financial aid website for the school. If the scholarships are not listed online, you can call the office and find out what you can apply for through them. Some colleges will send you a list of their scholarships-- others will simply award you if you meet the criteria, but it is important to learn your particular college's policies and procedures. The Pell Grant (not a scholarship) is not dependent on essays, gpas or reccomendations, only need. Your need is determined by the FAFSA, so fill that out asap if you have not, or asap after Jan 1 if you are apply for 2007-2008. The best answer is to talk to the colleges you are looking at. Lol. Good luck, lazy. Finding a valid scholarship that doesn't require those is just about impossible. You could try entering contests that offer scholarships. Art scholarships may only require one good drawing or painting.

Good luck. Everyone wants to hear why they should give you money. There are monies out there that don't care as much about GP A's, but everyone wants to know if you can write.
