I want to use dry ice to float in a punch bowl at my halloween party. I have heard that this makes the bowl look like its steaming. Is it afe to drink the beverage out of the bowl?

On Jay Leno last night a scientist and Jay were eating Graham crackers that had been put in a dry ice machine. When they would talk steam would come out of their mouth. I haven't heard that either of them were reported dead today, so i think you will be fine. If you have some doubts though. Try using a smaller, yet taller bowl to put in the middle of the punch bowl. Then fill your punch up around it. That way you can also avoid this same question from your guest. Good question though.

No, take no chances.
The best thing to do is get a cauldrin or bowl that you are going to use for the punch and then get one alot bigger than the actual punch bowl. Place them one inside each other so that it appears it is the one smoking when in fact its surrounding it.

Yes, it is safe to drink the punch from the bowl. Dry ice is carbon dioxide just like they use in soft drinks, only it is in a frozen state.

YES dty ice in a punch bowl will not hurt you watch out how much you use as you dont want to freeze the punch.

only if it is in a container inside the punch/drink...do not ingest...if you want it for effect then there are ways to do it

You should use a cup to drink the beverage because drinking out of the bowl is unsanitary.
But it doesn't really matter, because drinking it either way with dry ice in it will kill you.
