I personally think it's really stupid because kids, especially elementary kids, need to have some fun at recess and clearly remember playing tag as a kid...

I personally think it was the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. But I guess now a days these parents are getting so uptight and will sue the school or anyone possible for the stupidest things. Honestly I don't know how anything like that would even hold up in a court but hey, that's just me. They will ban tag at recess but then find that a teacher having kids write a list of all the cuss words they know is perfectly acceptable. (Saw that on Good Morning America yesterday) I just don't understand where people come up with these stupid ideas anymore.

It's not the kids getting hurt the school is worried about- it's the chance that their parents might sue. It's sad that we've become a nation run by lawyers. When did intelligent, responsible adults become incapable of saying, "It's an accident" and moving on? Certainly a school needs to take precautions to see that serious injury or negligence are avoided, but kids need to be able to play, and occasionally scrape a knee. That's just part of childhood.

It is a stupid idea. This is the kind of PC crap that we need to remove from our society. It is a simple and fun game that throughout time many generations have enjoyed and it is ridiculous to ban it. What next, banning cartoons that deal with imaginary talking animals?

it's an over the top way for the school to cover its own ***, it's bs and the school knows it, but if some little kid gets pushed off the monkey bars and hurt and the parents sue, then I guess I can see why the school is doing it
all in all, I don't condone them doing it, and i don't think it's right for them to ban it because of a money issue on their liability insurance, but I see why they did

It's not the children's fault that society is to "lawsuit" happy. The schools are worried that parent's will sue them b/c kids might get hurt. I say, kids will be kids and they will get scrapes and bruises.
Sad thing is, this will only get worse. What will they ban next?

2 issues come to recommendations: a million) the litigeousness of our society is having a authentic fee in the training of our children. in this get mutually, how are youthful ones to locate the fashion to be competative? How are youthful ones suposed to locate the fashion to play by technique of the regulations once you're on your human being - no man or woman supervision and no referee? those video games are literally not in basic terms actual exertion which, G-- is familiar with, our overweight youthful ones want desperately, yet also prepare a thanks to get alongside and take care of your self in a "recreation" ecosystem. it is what the international is. 2)it is exemplary of ways opposite our politically staggering society has change into. each and every of the hue and cry about equality of the sexes and the want for women to compete and study the regulations of the game, i.e. "the playing Fields of Eaton". no longer each and every pastime is supervised. I be conscious that even playgrounds were sanitized so as that really some the somewhat phyisical activities are lengthy previous like monkey bars, trapeze, and so on. unhappy. to quote Dean Wormer (Animal residing house), "fat, dumb and stupid isn't any thanks to flow by ability of life, son..." properly it is what we are institutionalizing in our colleges if this variety of hysterical attitude to play takes carry.

I assume that the ban was done because of bullying and teasing, although it makes more sense to punish the perpetrators not the whole school.

i think that banning tag is rediculous. i'm not sure why they did it...people getting too rough?...children need excercize (especially american children) obesity is a huge problem with today's youth, and banning something that is fun and excercize is a step backwards

I think these games help kids with their social skills, and I think its a shame that they are trying to ban it.
