There is this man that likes me a whole lot and I think he is ok, but he's 40years old and I'm 27. He is also white and I am black. I don't care that he is white, just that he is my sister age. So I'm asking should I give him a try?

Why not?
When you are younger then age matters more and a difference of 2 years (between 17 and 19) might matter. Now that you are older and in a stable part of life that is really all that matters.
A 40 year old and a 27 year old can be in the same stage of life so the age isn't as important. If you were 20 and still in college then that would be a different story or even just out of college and just beginning your life outside the walls of academia then it might need some adjustment.

Age is only a number, at 27, I think that you are mature enough to make this decision. The thing is if you are attracted to him, and if he treats you good, and that you both see I to I on things, Girl why not, go for it.

I'm 47 and my wife is 26, we've been together for 8 years and it works great. If you like him give it a try you might find out that it works great. the balck white thing only matters if you let it.

If you're really asking if it's alright to date this guy then deep down I'd say you probably have a problem with it. So you may want to stay way from it! Date someone you're own age!

it is kind of weird that a man at that age is after someone who is 13 years younger, but if you feel you'll be ok and safe

Personally I don' t think age matters when you truly and sincerely love someone. So why not? Give him a try. Who knows, he' s perhaps your Mr. Right!!! ;-))

if u feel so uncomfortable that u need to get advise . then no don't . if u are not sure don't do it . if u like him a lot and u get that feeling in your chest when u see him give him a try. if not don't waist his time ans your time

Are you attracted to him? 13yrs, when you're over 25, isn't that much of a difference. Do what feels right. Do you like him? Doesn't sound like you do...not much anyway.

If you only think he's okay, I wouldn't do it. If you really like him alot, I would give it a try, it just depends on how much you like him.

if you like him - go for it - if not be gentle....hes a little older than you but not so much that if there was true feeling it would matter - u dont sound very sure of this - better think it thru girl....
