Compres music or pictures?

hey,
How can i compres images or music on my PC so i can send it to me phone easly, is there a FREE program i can get. I have windows XP

Use 7zip. That's completely free, and it's good.

well for images u can use a program called 'IrfanView', with which u can resize the image and transfer to ur cellphone, and for mp3s u can use something called 'goldwave' which is also a freeware. just try to play with the sampling and amplitudes of the soundwave, u can reduce the size of the mp3.
