Mexican police find woman's body near border

NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico - Police in northern Mexico said they discovered the body of an unidentified woman who was beaten, raped and apparently shot to death near a shallow stretch of the Rio Grande favored by migrants for illegal crossings into the United States.
Investigator Oscar Sepulveda said the 20-year-old woman's remains were found Saturday evening in the trunk of an abandoned car near a sewage treatment plant about 500 yards from the river, which forms the border between Mexico and the U.S. state of Texas.
In addition to being raped, the victim showed signs of being beaten in the head and chest, and there was also evidence she died from at least one gunshot wound, Sepulveda said.
No arrests were made, and investigators had not determined a motive.
So far this year, 155 people have been killed in Nuevo Laredo, across the border from Laredo, Texas. At least 30 were women or children under 16, police say.
The victim was discovered along a shallow part of river that is often used as a crossing by migrants, especially women and children.

Everything that's happened on the other side of the border with Mexico we have to understand it is committed by the Mexicans. That territory is off limits to the Americans. We all know that there is a war in Mexico, between Drug Carters inside the government and outside the government. We also know through reports that the Mexican government, police and all are corrupted and they will do anything for a peso. This is the main reason why we have to build up our fence in order to keep them in the other side of the border. Every day it get worse and we are not doing enough to stop the invasion. When are we going to see the danger that the war in Mexico is bringing to the USA. Wake up America

Read the book "Lines & Shadows" by Joseph Wambaugh for info re. crimes against illegal immigrants along the border.
In this book, a true story, all the perpetrators were Mexican nationals victimizing their fellow countrymen

Let the police decide who is responsible for this.....and BTW by hating "illegals" you are really hating yourself. The only true natives of this country are the native americans. The rest of us came here and took over very "illegally".

Maybe there is a seriel killer targeting illegal migrants. Since Mexico has such a poor police force they know they won't be caught or investigated.
