More or less protein does not really matter for what is better for a diet.
Fish and meat are both made of proteins. Meat is denser, heavier and therefore has "more" protein. However too much meat is not very good for you. It is brought in context (red meat) with colon cancer, high cholesterol (fatty meat) etc.
Fish is said to be very healthy, easy to digest, has a high content of Omega 3 fatty acids (cold water fish does) and so on. However - depending on what fish you eat - it may have environmental toxins accumulated, like Mercury or pesticides.
For a diet where you want to lose weight it matters more that it is balanced - but if you do a diet for the purpose of losing weight then there is no way around of just eating less. Sorry for those news. Eat half of what you eat now and balance well. You will be hungry like a bear but the hunger is a guarantee also that you are losing weight. Unless you feel the hunger you are not losing weight.
If your diet has other reasons (lowering cholesterol for example or being diabetic) then it is different. Lowering cholesterol works better with fish than meat and mostly vegetarian.

Fish IS meat! It is really WHAT is in the types. Fish is usually leaner than red meats, and higher in your omega fatty acids. On the other hand red meat has higher iron and mineral fortification. Poultry is universal. I would say that chicken and fish are your healthier alternatives if you are trying to watch your diet, but red meat is good also. Always try to find the leanest portions. Remember that one chicken breast is equivalent to about 17g of protein. I hope this will help you.

Soy beans and without all the hormones pumped into the meat along with the penicillin and God only knows what else.
Corn bread and beans perfectly compliment each other and you get a balance of proteins. Mexicans eat corn tortillas and refried beans; in China they use soy with brown rice. We naturally eat what is best for us. And a side line, vegetarians are thinnner.
Have better skin tone and muscle strength.
