My best friend is a girl (we are 15, im a guy). Everyone is always asking if we are going out or saying I like her or she likes me, theres almost always a rumor going round. Why is this? Does boy/girl best friends always look like this? We are both single if that matters.

Well, do you like as more than a friend…

The one credit i give others in observation is they can certainly pick up on the obvious. If you or she are exhibiting signs of something that resembles more than casual friendship, the odds are likely you have a thing for each other, but are afraid of going that route. And that's a good thing… starting a relationship is the best way to ruin a great friendship in most cases.

The question i have is how long have the two of you been friends, and has the whole dating question ever popped up in casual conversation. If the two of you were older, i would suggest actually attempting a date, followed by a sleepover, just to see where things travel. But in your specific case, i would just do dinner and a movie. She could really be the one you spend your whole life with, get married to, have children with… but unlikely.

Here's the skinny… she really likes you, and as more than a friend. By playing the friend card, she's also playing it very safe. If you want to really know for sure, this is what you do…

… bide your time, wait for the moment when she needs you more than anyone else in the world, take her into your arms and tell her you are there for her regardless, hold her close, and tell her you have always loved her with all your heart. Yeah, i know it's cheesy, but none of your other friends will be around, and you're not pushing the obvious questions.

If anything, she will see you are her truest friend, and will hold you in a much higher regard. Right now, the two of you are just dancing around the issue, and not even a good dance.

Let me know how it turns out!

Wish you luck.

May be this is happening because you are both single and always hang out together. They are asking, perhaps by looking at the way you two behaves. At first sight, very few people will think that it' s purely friendship. The rumor will go on, because it' s quite normal. But why should you care if you are not doing anything bad.

People always tease about guys that have girls for bestfriends.....if you know that nothings going on then that's all that matters. I mean unless you want something to happen. But, if there's not then who cares if people start rumors!!!

It isnt all that common for best friends to be boy/girl, so its likely that people will say those sort of things. If it isnt true, it shouldnt matter.

People just think you are bf/gf like that, because you are going together wherever. But you are only best friends and don't take this so seriously, but I understand you. Is so popular to connect people because every one is dreaming for connection like bf/gf.
and you look like good couple.

because everyone loves a love story....ever read romeo and juliet?..... and even if it isnt true then they can watch you split up and be miserable and so make themselves feel better, enjoy the friendship though dude, i had a similar one when i was your age, now i only have female friends....miss my male friends from childhood....

its typical high school stuff. everyone is always gossiping about each other. i know it might be hard but you gotta just ignore people cos you and her know the truth and thats what matters.
