Mary Wheeler 23 ~
"Smitty" is right, in his prime Ali was 215 or 216 pounds. I my opinion, Ali was in his prime not long after his fight with Sonny Liston in 1964. I think his best years were stripped away from him by the United States Government for refusing to inducted in the Armed Services causing his suspension from March 22, 1967 until October 26, 1970.
Thanks for the question Mary Wheeler.

When he defeated Sonny Liston to win the world title in 1964 he weighed 210 1/2 and in the rematch, he was 206. Ali, always fouht at around the 215 -220 mark.

215-216 lbs. When he was in shape sometimes you'd think he had the physique of a weight lifter. He never used weights in his training.
