I just got out of a year and a half long relationship, and moved to a new town. I feel lonely. Is a dating service like "Its Just Lunch"
a bad idea or would it help me meet new people with out having to go to the bar scene?

Its not a bad idea at all.
Instead of the bar scene, might I suggest joining a volunteer organization or maybe a co-rec volley ball league or something else along those lines.
Even if you dont meet someone at the organization or whatever, you will meet descent people (girls and guys) who have a single friend. The friend of a friend connection is almost always a good way to meet people, because what friend wants to set a friend up with a loser. It also gives you something to do in your new town.

It is not a bad idea at all. I have thought about it but just dont have the time. You would meet new people and even if you did not like them like that you could be friends and meet there friend and start networking. As far as the bar scene becarful. You can blame a person for being a boozer party animal if you met them in a bar.

I'm thinking of going the same thing. All the men in my town are freaking married with kids. It sounds like a good idea especialy if you can block a person u might be suspisous the he/she is a pedifile. Plus U figure if a shrink with a good reputation is working with it too that helps.

I thought about doing "its just lunch" but was too much $ for me at the time. It sounds like a fun way to meet people, and even if you don't meet anyone interesting, at least you got out there and tried it. It's probably better than online dating through match, y personals, eharmony etc... those are time consuming and usually frustrating, at least it was for me.

I don't think it would be a bad idea I had pretty good luck when I tried it. Good luck!

I think that it is. You need to find a person on your own.
