my boyfriend smokes weed and he says he is not addicted but i know he is. he never smokes around me and ive never seen him do it. he says hes quit for about a month now. i try not to pressure him to quit but he does know how i feel about it! Is a month a long time? should i pressure him more? what else can i do? help!

NOOOOO..whatever you do, if you want to help, do not pressure him!! All you can do is be supportive and loving, and do fun things with him that don't involve smoking weed. A month is a long time to not do something, esp. if he was doing it every day. Some "addicitions" can be extremely situational, i.e., smoking when u hang out with other smokers.
I think anyone can quit smoking weed on their own when they are ready. I quit smoking weed, cigarettes and alcohol on my own, and it happened when I met my current boyfriend. He doesn't do anyone of those things and he didn't get mad at me if I did them but he didn't really want to be around me if I was stoned or drunk.
He was the best thing that has happened to me and maybe you are the best thing that has happened to your boyfriend!

I somehow doubt he can quit by himself. He may be lying. First find out if he really has quit for a little whlie. If he hasn't call an intervention. His parents friends or old friends who never smoked weed or did drugs. When it's over rehab. That's how it goes. He may hate u for a little while but in the end he'll regret the anger b/c he'll realize u love him.

if he said he quit - give him a chance. Habits/ addictions are hard to overcome. Smoking pot is not the worst thing he could be doing although i dont recomend that either, but after 30 days it should be out of his system enough to successfully quit.(but only if he wants to) he could hide it from you as long as he wanted to, and still do it... just be supporting and dont act like you think he is decieving you.. even if he is - its not personal - it is a problem of his and he will have to deal with it on his own.Trying to scold him will only make him want it more.

nothing, weed isn't the worst drug, but like all drugs its illegal. and from experience, you cant do anything. i would say keep up the not around me rule. and don't ever let him break that rule.
