Sure it's POSSIBLE! But, why would anyone want to?
It seems like a more intelligent question would be "can you be forgiven of the sin of cutting your own head off?" and the answer to that is "NO" because unfortunately you've taken your own life and will be standing immediately in front of God for your judgement. What would you say to Him when He asks you why you did such a stupid thing? Then what will you say when He throws you into hell?
God have mercy on your soul. I pray you find Him before it's too late.

cutting in the pure meaning of the word? no...
you will need something with enough power to continue its work once set in motion, even after you stopped controlling and powering it, which you will do the instant it hits the neck. that would however be better described as HEWING ones head off... short of using some kind of machinery, of which many kinds and forms are available to the inquiring mind...a heavy blade comes to mind, like an axe or a heavy sword... it would take some training to work out a blow that will sever your own head... but it should be possible, and swung with enough speed and force, the blade should continue its way after you let go of it. which you should do before it hits your neck, so you dont mess up the blow once you lost control of it.
so i think, with the caution of renaming the process... it is probably possible, if you devote enough time and thought to it.

YES, unfortunately. Although I don't know why this is in the Religion section.
My ex worked in Puerto Rico and evidently they come up with very creative ways to kill themselves there; the bloody ones are actually photographed for the newspapers. He told me there was a man who used a deli slicer with its platform removed to cut his own head off.
Ewwwww. What an awful way to die.
EDIT: I almost forgot -- if a person hung themselves and the rope to height to weight ratio is off, they will be decapitated.

Why would you want to? But the only way I can figure is to make a guillotine and lock yourself in so you Will not flinch and make the switch so you can throw it and I guess it could be possible, but I am not going to find out.
