The reason he won`t ask you out is because he is your brothers best friend, it is an unspoken rule that guys don`t date there friends sisters especially your best friend.
If you really like the guy have a chat to brother about the situation, remind him of all the other dirty pigs that want to date his sister. If he agrees, that will be that, just don`t put to much pressure on their friendship!

2 things could be up here....
1. he doesnt want any possible drama between you and his best friend
2. your brother tells him not to worry about you. not in a mean way but maybe hes looking out for you.
dating siblings friends is a hrd road sometimes. if anything goes wrong not only have u lost a friends and a relationship, but your brother my loose a good friend as well. and if he did ask you out and things worked out, your brother may still loose a frined, he may want to spend more time with you than your brother and this may upset him. i would suggest talking to your brother and getting some words of wisdom from him too!

This hapen to me not to long ago me and my brothers friend would just have fun all the time than one night we where talking on the phone and he told me he liked me and i liked him so we decided that we would just talk and not let my brother know so everyday he would come over but we never could really show our feelings for each other unless my brother left so hed let my bro take his car places well this worked out for about a couple weeks then we talked one night and he told me that hes was scared to lose my brothers friendship because he thought he was catching on after that we never talked again but it could have been something great.so moral to the story is brothers friends not good just stay away from them k its better off that way

He probably won't ask out out. Only for respect of your brother. Some guys feel that it makes their relationship as friends uncompromised. He probably just doesn't want to feel like he is disrespecting your brother. Or maybe he is just being nice because you are his friends sister.

Because your brothers friendship is obiously more important than you. That's a rule you don't ask your best friend's relatives to go out with you especially brothers or sisters.

Your his best friends sister. If things go bad what will happen? Think about it. Could cause alot of problems in the long run if things dont work out.

Ok, you don't really give enough imformation to make a decent answer but sorry girl, i dont think he fancies ya.
I've had a crush on my brothers best friend for 5 years. he hugs me, tickles me, snuggles up to me, trys to kiss me, gets in my bed with me, calls me buff, holds my hand and other silly things. But when it comes down to love, he never confesses, he sees me as a friend. I think he might see you as a friend aswell. But if you really want to know your gonna have to ask him yourself.

If he does like you he is probaly worried about what your brother will think. Our he may just be friendly to you because your brother is his friend.
