I like both, but for different uses. I can eat green olives right out of the jar, or I have a couple dishes I put them in. The garlic stuffed queen olives are excellent.
I can't just eat a black olive though. It has to be in something, like a salad or baked dish.

Yes absolutely,i like most of them unless they are bitter,i have lived in spain for a few years now ,and am right in the centre of the olive growing fraternity,as a result i have tried alsorts ,try stuffed olives for a treat ,with garlic,cheese,anchovies are very popular one over here,you can try any filling to your taste.a salad now without olives seems naked.However i have to say that i took some converting ,because i originally i hated them,so for those of you not convinced keep trying,its an aquired taste,but wonderful when its aquired.

Me! Green olives I can eat any time. black olives with feta cheese and cucumber in a salad or in puttanesca pasta. Kalamata olives are delicious and not too strong-tasting, but much more expensive. I also like the green ones with red pimento in the middle-especially the ones with tabasco sauce-with a nice, cold beer, preferably San Miguel. They are very good for you. especially with beer.

mmmmm I DO!!!! Black olives i everythign from macaronni salad to pasta salad. Green olives diced up for the top of my Wonderfall Flat enchiladas & of course in our red chili tamales... I used to be able to find pitted green olives with No Pimento Can't anymore so i got to take the pimento out myself ( such a hassle) Love both on a Pizza... If im in a real Olivey mood i will add both to my macaronni salad..

LOVE OLIVES... looked forward to Turkey Day so we would have the platter of pitted black olives... stick em on finger tips and snack away until Mom caught us !!
Now I love olives of all colors, flavors, and seasonings... solo, salads, pasta-salads, tampinad... I need to find a cookbook "Cooking with Olives !!"

Me! Especially the ones in oil you get from French markets. Can get them in little pouches in supermarkets now, called Olive du Marche.

I like the jumbo pitted black olives. Don't care for the green ones at all.
