I don't know about Mormons, but Jehovah's Witnesses think about God's heavenly government, our reigning King Christ Jesus and all the wonderful blessings that Jehovah and his Son have promised us. We also think about our love for all mankind and our desire to share with them the wonderful hope that the Bible gives us, such as the promise of living forever on a cleansed earth with no sickness, wickedness or death. We think about all of our loved ones who are now sleeping in death and the fact that soon, Jesus -who has been given the power to do so, will resurrect them back to life. What a joyful time that will be!!
We think about spiritual things, helping others to know the true God and remaining loyal to him.

I'm Mormon, and went on a mission, and have had Jehovah's Witnesses come to my door. All my encounters have been very pleasant. Jehovah's Witnesses wished me more luck and success on my mission than any other religion!

Others might tell you differently, but personally, I feel a great sense of respect between two religions that have amazing missionary efforts.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe the bible and do not use the book of Mormon. We admire their zeal in preaching from door to door.
It takes a lot of courage to do that. How well we know.
However, if we felt they or anyone else had the truth we would be with them. Some have said to me you believe you are right!
Yes, we do! But we don't believe we are alone in this, that is why we go door to door talking to people. We truly believe their are many people out there who will be saved. If we believed we were the only ones to be saved would we go door to door with the message? No! we would just keep it to ourselves.

I am under the impression that the 'mormon' church teaches that we will all go to heaven whereas i believe that mankind's place is on earth and that the resurrection Acts 24 v15 will be for everyone apart from the 144,00 of the Lamb's bride will be to life on earth.

Jehovah's Witnesses are always thinking about serving God and remaining faithful. Staying pure in heart and teaching the scriptures to others that they will benefit. Finding Jesus sheep like ones who are searching for God.

Jehovah's Witnesses respect the fact that Mormons tend to have far more Christian "fruitage" than most of the rest of Christendom. The house to house preaching work is a humble work, and anyone who neglects it cannot by a true Christian.

Perhaps the rest of Christendom forgets that the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with PREACHING about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"

(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.

(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”

(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name

Sadly, so-called "Christians" try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications. Yet, the preaching work makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

I'm Mormon and have friends who are JW. We have some similar beliefs, and then some really different ones, but it doesn't get in the way of our friendship. Mormons are taught to respect other's religions and to not be judgemental.

They don't focus on putting the other down. And no to the person who said they are cults. It may behoove you to know what you are talking about before you make yourself look ignorant in public. They are both very passionate about their beliefs and are trying to seek God. I can't put anyone down for that. More power to them.
So to answer your question- Neither focus on the other religion, they focus more on becoming closer to God and bringing others closer to HIM.
