Goulash Supreme

INGREDIENTS
1 pound lean ground beef
1 1/2 cups macaroni
1 quart stewed tomatoes
2 teaspoons paprika
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
6 ounces tomato paste
DIRECTIONS
In large saucepan brown ground chuck, drain.
Add tomatoes, onions, garlic, paprika, chili powder, macaroni and tomato paste, if desired. Add water, a tablespoon at a time, if mixture seems too dry. Simmer until macaroni is tender.

Nanny's Goulash

INGREDIENTS
1 pound lean ground beef
1 (8 ounce) package fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 green bell pepper, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 red bell pepper, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 zucchini, thickly sliced
1 small red onion, sliced
4 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 tablespoon paprika
1/2 tablespoon dried basil
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1 (14.5 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes with liquid, chopped
DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Remove beef with a slotted spoon and discard fat.
Return skillet to stove, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Stir in mushrooms, green and red peppers, squash, onion, paprika, basil, garlic salt, and pepper; cook for five minutes, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat to medium. Stir in beef and tomatoes; simmer about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Hungarian Goulash II

INGREDIENTS
2 pounds beef chuck roast, cubed
1 large onion, diced
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons Hungarian sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 1/4 cups water, divided
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
DIRECTIONS
Place beef in slow cooker, and cover with onion. In a medium bowl, stir together ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, paprika, mustard, and 1 cup water. Pour mixture over beef and onions.
Cover, and cook on Low for 9 to 10 hours, or until meat is tender.
Mix 1/4 cup water with flour to form a paste, and stir into goulash. Cook on High for 10 to 15 minutes, or until sauce thickens.

Hungarian Goulash I

INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 onions, sliced
2 tablespoons Hungarian sweet paprika
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 1/2 cups water
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
Heat oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Cook onions in oil until soft, stirring frequently. Remove onions and set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine paprika, 2 teaspoons salt and pepper. Coat beef cubes in spice mixture, and cook in onion pot until brown on all sides. Return the onions to the pot, and pour in tomato paste, water, garlic and the remaining 1 teaspoon salt. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until meat is tender.

Turkey Goulash

INGREDIENTS
1 pound lean ground turkey
1 (14 ounce) can stewed, diced tomatoes
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup tomato sauce
2 teaspoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 (16 ounce) package bow tie pasta
DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the turkey until browned.
Stir in the stewed tomatoes, garlic, tomato sauce, sugar and basil, and then simmer for about 20 minutes.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente, and then drain. Combine the pasta and turkey mixture; toss and serve.

Goulash I

INGREDIENTS
3 cups dry egg noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
garlic salt to taste
1 (15 ounce) can corn
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
In a large skillet, over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onion together. Drain off the grease. Add salt, pepper, and garlic salt to taste.
Stir in the corn, kidney beans, and tomato soup. Stir in the cooked egg noodles and mix thoroughly.

Hamburger Goulash

INGREDIENTS
1 pound lean ground beef
4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup sliced onion
1 1/2 cups frozen corn kernels
1 (15 ounce) can cut green beans, drained
1 cup elbow macaroni
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
DIRECTIONS
Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble, and set aside.
Add all ingredients (except noodles) to browned ground meat and simmer for 1 hour, then add noodles.

"Hungarian Goulash" - 6 to 8 servings

1/4 cup shortening
2 lbs. beef chuck or round; cut into 1" cubes
1 cup sliced onion

3/4 cup catsup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Dash cayenne red pepper
1 1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup water
3 cups hot cooked noodles

Melt shortening in large skillet. Add beef, onion and garlic; cook and stir until meat is brown and onion is tender. Stir in catsup, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt, paprika, mustard, cayenne and 1 1/2 cups water. Cover; simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Blend flour and 1/4 cup water; stir gradually into meat mixture. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Serve over noodles.

PREPARATION:
Heat butter in a Dutch oven or stock pot over medium-low heat. Add onion and cook for 2 minutes. Season beef with salt and pepper and paprika; add to the onions and cook for 20 minutes. Add water. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours, or until beef is tender. Check occasionally and add more water if necessary.
Spaetzle

3 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon salt
dash nutmeg
dash paprika
4 eggs
3/4 cup water
3 tablespoons butter, melted
Sift dry ingredients together into mixing bowl. Add eggs and water; beat with spoon until smooth. Dampen end of a cutting board and put on about 1/3 of the dough. Smooth a small amount of dough to be thin with spatula. Cut off small strips of the dough into a pot of boiling salted water. (Dip spatula in water several times through cutting spaetzle.) If dough is too thin to hold together, add some flour. Lift spaetzle out, place in a serving dish, and pour some of the melted butter over them. Repeat with remaining dough.

Brown 1 lb of ground beef, cook Macaroni, add 2 cans of tomato soup, and lots of garlic. cook for about 10 minutes. Add some velveta cheese. and some Cyan pepper. let simmer for about 5 minutes and enjoy.

cook ground beef with onions,drain,add cooked noodles,corn and mushrooms,can of tomatoe sauce,serve with mashed potatoes.
