First time setting outlook express

depending on your email account, and personal choice you choose a different option
if you want to download the emails onto your local computer, use pop3
if you want to leave the emails on the server and just read them use imap
you will find the information about the settings for both of them from the people who provide you with your email.

You need to contact your email provider (or your ISP, if you get email through them)...they will be able to tell you what servers to enter.

most email addy's have to be pop3 to receive and smtp to send through OE.

Ask your ISP...THEY will tell you the POP/SMTP server to use. Everyone's is different.
