I just got divorced and am new to the whole dateing game. I have always been outgoing and not scared to talk to a guy. But here lately guys act like they are put off by a girl who aproaches a guy first. Guys please help!!!

yeah some guys like girls who are forward. i think it all depends how u present yurself. no guy wants a ho to date and go out with but they do want a ho for a one nighter

I agree with TB above that it certainly depends on the guy. More specifically I would add that it also may depend on the guy's age. But generally speaking I think that whatever most people have told you on this site, most men would feel rather threatened if you come on too strongly, main reasons being - (1) most girls aren't that way so your action would be somewhat unexpected and you'll look sort of odd in comparison, and (2) such behavior especially if you come on too strongly is not so 'feminine' in nature and after all femininity is what guys are really looking for whether they are aware of it or not.
So go ahead and be yourself but if you sense that the guy is somehow feeling awkward try to tone it down. Best is to start off the action and then give them some space to keep them at ease.

I think most guys love it when girls approach them, act interested, or even make the first move. On the other hand, acting desperate, failing to read their signals, or demanding attention can definitely turn guys off. I also think acting too forward--hitting on everyone, being too touchy-feely, or making it too clear you're available will only attract the wrong kind of guy. In the end, stick with your confident behavior. Some guys won't be into it, but most (and the ones who are right for you) will. Dating when you're a bit older seems hard because a lot of guys seem to have developed weird, rigid standards they didn't have when they were younger. You might have to deal with a few weird-os, who don't like you, but keep your chin up and don't change for them.

Hell i would be flattered
Find out what the guy who you are aproaching is his kryptonite and your success rate would go up .
If you got a pedicure , wore sandals and flaunted your feet that would be my kryptonite .
If he is an @ssman flaunt your @ss
so on and so on
We respect women who face the possiblty of rejection even tho the risk is smaller for women hitting on a guy than the other way around .

most guys are somewhat put off by girls approaching for 2 reasons,
1. they feel like less of a man because they didnt start the conversation
2. they sometimes see that as the girl is a sl-ut. NOT syaing that you are of course.
i personally liek it when a girl doesnt hide thigns and dont play games. and i think once you get to know the guy and you are up front he will appriciate it more.

It certainly depends on the guy, but I believe the differentiating factor is the confidence level of the man. If a man is confident in himself and his own masculinity, then he will typically be fine with a woman approaching him or being rather forward in her communication. On the other hand, if a man has low self-confidence, then a woman who is forward can be threatening and even immasculating in the more extreme cases.

Most guys are shy, so yes I would say that many of them would appreciate you being forward, but not too forward. It would take the load off of them, but he should start making the moves once you guys are comfortable with each other:)
