I belive in building a secure wall along the Mexico\United States border and having the Natioal Guard patrol it to enforce that no more illegal aliens enter our country, except through pre-established immagration programs. I also believe that once we do that we should systematically find illegal aliens in our country and deport the ones with criminal histories, wether they were commited in there home contry or here. The other illegal aliens who wish to stay should be enrolled into a mandatory program where they will be educated on our society and history while working in a government controlled facility to earn the money necessary to pay for there food and board while they are in the system. Once the graduate from the program they become U.S. citizens. If the flunk they should be deported back to there country of origin.

To those of you that have read my plan and responded to it, both positively or negatively I want to thank you for atleast showing interest in this topic. I'd also like to clarify a few points in my logic for the plan I submitted to you. The reason I did not include deporting the illegal aliens that did not have a criminal record was because there is a high probablity that those aliens are already embedded in our work force, doing the jobs that we don't want AND the same jobs that keep our cost down as consumers of the goods they help produce. If we started deporting aliens without any consideration it will come back on us with higher prices for produce and manual labour. I believe that these people are contributing to America and should be given consideration. On the flip side of that last statement, I also believe that those people convicted of crimes in there home country or here should be prosecuted to full extent of the law and deported A.S.A.P.

Please bare in mind that all of us are immigrants to this country and had to start at the bottom in order to build the great nation we have now so it would be hypocracy to turn our backs on people who are seeking the same dreams as ourselves. I just believe that those people should respect the fact that we have social and political systems in place to make our laws and they should be willing to follow them.

Any wall that is put in place can be patrolled my the United States National Guard. As I said in my first posting, I believe tht should be allowed to act as a police force to make sure our borders remain close to all forms entry except legally. Please understand that I do not believe they should gun down people trying to cross the border. That would be a crime that I would not tolerate if I were in a position to prosecute that person. The National Guards role should be to detain, process, and deport any person found trying to enter this country illegally. I also believe that they should be allowed to protect themselves if they are threatened in the same way that local police can defend themselves against people who pose a threat of bodily harm to themselves. So just to make this clear to everyone...I don't think we should start shooting illegal immigrants that are trying to cross over to America.

I like the idea, I think that this was something that should have been drafted a long time ago when illegal emigrants started to come into this country then. And we wouldn't have this many illegals here now. Now understand I am not a racist of any sort, but the fact is that Mr Reagan (Rest in Peace) began the dialog with the Mexican government to discourage Mexican's from crossing the boarder. And the Mexican government didn't do not one single thing to contain the problem. Frankly they really didn't care one way or another.
The other fact since Former President Reagan opened the doors for the Mexican imigration status to be recommended that started the chain of events of illegals who really didn't want to put themselves on record probably because they had criminal records already. So there really isn't a real good count of really how many illegals are here in this country.
Another point in hand we have to consider that we too bare some responsibility in this matter meaning our local big companies and a majority of small business will hire these illegals for cheap labor meaning that they don't have to pay any overhead for them what so ever! And that is the truth. You know the funny thing I can pretty much understand why Mexican's would want to come here to the United States, it was lead for them to believe that this country is the land of opportunity which really it isn't! But they are making it work by putting shops up and other kinds of businesses. They have been a big impact on our economy because of there business and economics of running a business. So the United States still benefits from illegals in a large scale. And this is not knowing if the workers are legal or not!
The United States has had many flaws in every aspect of Immigration Control. It failed in 9/11 and it failed with the control of illegals that still come or crawl to the border with us.
Like I said your comment and idea is right on the money. But like I said two sides played a big part in this...Now you know!

How Bout THIS Plan
DEPORT ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS UPON DISCOVERY
If They Want To Live And Work Here
They Can Go Through The Proper Procedures
I Agree With THIS Part Of Your Plan
I belive in building a secure wall
along the Mexico\United States border
and having the National Guard patrol it
to enforce that no more illegal aliens enter our country,
except through pre-established immagration programs.

Your plan is sound but why couldn't it be implemented some other way.You are still rewarding criminal actions.I'm not for keeping large amounts of people confined for a misdemeanor. There should be systematic deportation of all illegal aliens . With absolute criminal prosecution for the second illegal crossing.I would like to see the education of legals on our customs, language, respect for our flag, respect for the country they chose to come too legally.I don't want anyone in this country that HATES this country and wants to over throw our government. They need to be expelled and /or tried for treason. The radical Marxist groups need to be arrested and deported.Legal or not.
Same as KKK members and all White Power Groups.Racism comes in all colors.

FIRST AND FOREMOST the immigrant has to LEGALLY enter the country and LEGALLY apply for citizenship! No illegal aliens need apply!!!!!
The mandatory program to be educated of our Society and History and learn English, already exists.
Its called classes for Legal Immigrants to become American Citizen classes.
Although you came across a little too authoritative. Your plan is a good solid, sound plan that needs a little refinement. Many of these laws all ready exist.
As far as limiting work controlled environments. Of course, we want to know where any aliens are at all times.
They still have freedoms if we, LEGALLY admitted them into our country for the purpose of attaining American citizenship.

Well, I think, instead of building a fence/wall along the Mexico/US border, the government should carve a really big, deep, trench inbetween the two countries and fill it with all that water in Louisiana and Mississippi that came from the floods and hurricaines and they should gather up all the excess alligators in Florida and put them in the trench too. I don't think anybody would be crossing it then. All the dirt they dug up to make the trench could be used in Louisiana.

Britain is surrounded by sea and patrolled by Customs Officers, but we still cannot stop illegal immigration. Deport all illegal immigrants and let them apply to return. However I can hear the distant cry of `civil rights being breached`from all the bleeding heart liberals. Immigration is one of the most evocative subjects and no politicians appear to want to sort it out via hardline policy, its no wonder that the National Front is seeing an upsurge in its membership, and unfortunately when they do have a foothold, the main parties will be saying `how did this happen`?.

Attrition thru local, state & federal enforcement for ALL illegal immigrants. If an American breaks the law - how many are enrolled in mandatory programs, paid a wage and given a HUGE reward upon completion?? Yours is a bad idea - why should Americans & legal immigrants receive less than the illegal criminals in our country?

I think youre wrong, because #1, a wall wouldnt really do much. How high? Whatre you goign to do to make sue people cant climb or go through it? Shoot them?
The reason a wall idea comes up is because people, undestandably, get angry. But the idea always goes away because I truyl believe Americans dont want to live in a a country that walls people out.

You plan sounds good, but I don't like the idea of letting any illegal alien stay in this country. We should not reward breaking the law.
