I have many questions about islam, entirely too many to ask on the yahoo website...i've been doing a lot of research but there are just some questions i have that books and the internet can not answer, and i don't know of any practicing muslims (my family and friends are of the Christian faith). Of late i've been contemplating converting but because of my Christian upbringing and most of the people i am around im alone as far as gaining wisdom...the only place of worship that I am aware of here is a NOI (nation of islam) place of worship and im not interested in the particular sect. If someone could help i would really appreciate it.

I'd like to add that i am only looking for answers that are pertaining to my question asked not other's biased answers, im not looking to have my faith in christianity reaffirmed in any kind of way, i have made my decision that i have NO peace in christianity for my own personal reasons, im just looking to have some questions answered by LIKE MINDED people...

Here are some questions I saw on Malkins Blog that I have not seen answered. You should find the answer if you can.

Is Islam the only religion with a doctrine, theology and legal system that mandates warfare against unbelievers?

Is it true that 26 chapters of the Quran deal with jihad, a fight able-bodied believers are obligated to join (Surah 2:216), and that the text orders Muslims to "instill terror into the hearts of the unbeliever" and to "smite above their necks" (8:12)?

Is the "test" of loyalty to Allah not good acts or faith in general, but martyrdom that results from fighting unbelievers (47:4) — the only assurance of salvation in Islam (4:74; 9:111)?

Are the sins of any Muslim who becomes a martyr forgiven by the very act of being slain while slaying the unbelievers (4:96)?

And is it really true that martyrs are rewarded with virgins, among other carnal delights, in Paradise (38:51, 55:56; 55:76; 56:22)?

Are those unable to do jihad — such as women or the elderly — required to give "asylum and aid" to those who do fight unbelievers in the cause of Allah (8:74)?

Does Islam advocate expansion by force? And is the final command of jihad, as revealed to Muhammad in the Quran, to conquer the world in the name of Islam (9:29)?

Is Islam the only religion that does not teach the Golden Rule (48:29)? Does the Quran instead teach violence and hatred against non-Muslims, specifically Jews and Christians (5:50)?

Well no one can make that decision but you....but I would seriously do some soul searching before turnng my back on God...If you believe that the Islam faith or Muhammad can get you to heaven.... than go for it...for me Jesus is the way the truth and the light....I cannot insult or bash Islam religion because I do not understand it. ...but my truth as I said before is I am a born agains Christian through the Precious Blood of God's Son ....Christ Jesus...by my own personal choice..I believe that different religions were created by mankind because all of us have different spiriatual needs...Jesus just happens to be the one that fullfills mine...I will be praying for you.....and hope you find what you seek....I am sorry but I cannot point you in any direction or to any links that will help with your request...But I can point you in the direction of the Cross...If at anytime you decide to return to Christ and seek Him I will gladly help with any misunderstanding you may have....May God richly and abundanly bless you .....Petal

What is it about the Muslim faith that is attracting you away from Christianity? Did you have some bad experiences in a Christian church or your particular church isn't meeting your needs? Perhaps investigate other Christian churches and see if they can offer you what you need right now.

Think about the life and works of Mohammed and that of Jesus. Think about their teachings. Think about their followers and how they have affected the world. Then make your decision.

Peace!

If you're prepared to accept Jesus as a prophet rather then the Messiah, then go, be a Muslim. And if you're female, be very aware how Islam view women. Don't be fooled.

There are many, many things wrong with Christianity, but the fundalmental base is the belief that Jesus came as the Messiah. Study the terrain before you walk on it. Good luck.

Did you check your local phone book? Barring that, there are many search engines out there that you could use to find a mosque near by. Also, is there a college near you? You may be able to find some information there. See if there are any Comparative Religion courses, and try to contact the teacher.

Good luck!

It might help to let us know your location (city, state) because some local people may be able to help you out more! Try going to some internet sites that allow you to ask questions about the religion or find someone who goes to NOI and ask them personally.

Practice for women to become Muslim:

Find a pimp.

Refuse to work so you get bitchslapped daily.

Screw the pimp whenever and wherever he says so.

Get bitchslapped again.

Take down your curtains and wear them.

If you convert to Islam, lucky for you at least you don't need to see a priest every weekend telling lies.
