There are tons of advantages of going to school. Even if you don't go to university, having a high school degree is essential in this day and age. You learn your basic math skills, and english skills which are definitely crutial, no doubt about that. You learn different things which can and will help you once your into the "real" world. But most importantly, you learn to develope your social skills. I'm all for book smarts, but when it comes down to the real survival, street smarts are definitely worth having. You develope that from those you interact with at school, and school activities you might get involved in. School is a huge step in preparing you for life.

Self-worth. I'm going because I'm sick of feeling as though other people are better or more well off than me because I didn't. Plus I have two vocational licenses and I am currently unemployed. I think now you need a degree just to be taken seriously. I think if you study what you love you are more likely to finish school. Even if you get a degree in art you can still work anywhere. People just want you to have a degree. I know a lady with a degree in nursing who does finance for a car company. You may want to go so that you don't wonder what if. Nothing makes you want to go to school more than a sucky job with an even suckier supervisor.

hmm. for starters, you could learn that the proper way to ask that question would be "what ARE the advantages OF GOING to school?"
you may not see it now, but education will either make or break your future. stay in school as long as possible. you'll be a better person for it.

Are you serious??? Getting an education is a good reason. The other would be its the place where you can make life long friends, its the place to experience the first years of your life. School sux BUT you have to attend it to get anywhere. Does this answer your stupid question? Thank you for the two points.
