I would say at night on a friday or saturday

If you arrange a Friday or Saturday night date it always add a bit of 'specialness' (is that a word?!) to it! I think weekend dates give the impression you are interested enough to give up a night on the lash with your mates.
Time....around 7.30 / 8 maybe earlier if you're having dinner, not just drinks.

I like a mid week date and then a weekend date... Mid week around 6 since some have to work the next morning, and on the weekend around 8 pm..

yeah, Friday or Saturday evening is the best. But, well, Thursday nights could be fun because she just wants to get the week overwith and if you take her on a date it would liven things up. It would give her something to remember. But, usually, weekends are definitely the best way to go.

Definitely Friday or Saturday night it shows that you don't mind being seen out with her and you are giving up a night out to take her out, after that I think its nice to have a midweek date it breaks the week up.

i prefer during the day in mid week as there seems to be less pressure and you don't meet as many people throughout the day as you do at night which can be awkward trying to explain who you are with and why. also you get to see the person in daylight and sober which is always a good thing!
