I'm not afraid to ask but I know that people would be offended and on the defense and cry foul or throw scripture at me for saying that I was judging but here goes: Do the people on this forum realize that everyone beliefs are personal to them and when someone bashes their beliefs not only are they hurting themselves but their opinions and beliefs will never be heard by those who they bash or mock? For some people to say that they don't care but it can't be true or honest because everyone wants their views heard and respected at least the ones who are mature.

Amazing! I was afraid before, but now all my fear is gone.
I've always wanted to know why people expect a spirtual entity to answer science questions as in why we need for God to explain the origin of life. Or another one: why can't we accept that there are some questions that we can't answer because we just don't have any information? Okay, I may as well ask a third one. How can we keep the "good" parts of religion and get rid of the disrespectful, intolerant, violent parts?

It isn't that I am afraid to ask, it just that i don't want to have to view all the obnoxious answers.

But, since there won't be any answers to my question in here, I would love to know how Christians can believe that the Bible is the word of God when all they use to support such a belief is the Bible itself. It is like me saying I am God because I said so. Every world religion has a main text that essentially proclaims its pages reveal the right way to live your life.

I considered posting my question about the new dwarf planet Eris and its current location in the constellation Cetus, analagous to Tiamat, and see what people though about how it's essentially two big chaos goddesses in the sky for the next thirty years...but my attempts in both Mythology & Folklore AND Astrology resulted in a bunch of people who hadn't even heard about the planet Eris, let alone had any idea what else I was babbling on about, so I'll just keep my Discordian apocalypse theories to MYSELF now thank you.

Truthfully now, how many people go to church with ulterior motives that have nothing at all to do with God or even with spirituality?

I just figure no one would answer truthfully, so I never asked it!

Do you believe in reincarnation or re-cycled souls?

Or are they one in the same?

Why do we struggle with the weary load we carry, and yet can't give up the good fight?

Our soul's must have "unfathomable" courage and strength!
