1) I think that a good definition of "sin" is doing things outside of God's will, but maybe not. Essentially a sin is breaking God's law, which includes more than the 10 commandments.
2) Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned.
3) Adam and Eve weren't born into sin, yet they sinned...I think that if any person were "made" (like if God had chose to make Billy Graham first and not Adam), the same result would have come. Besides, when Christ "saved" me, he wiped away my sins (according to Christian belief)...essentially, at that point I am no longer a sinner and my slate is clean. I'm a sinner because I continue to sin.
4) According to the Bible and Christian belief, the penalty for sin (those who have not chosen Jesus Christ as their Savior) is eternal punishment in "Hell."
5) Sure. I know of a person that thoroughly believes that he is at the place where God wants him to be, but that God had a different plan for him when he was born. But, because he chose to live a "sinful life" for the bulk of his life, he was not able to do those things. Is that punishment? I suppose it's a form of it.

1. Sin is typically considered to be the violation of the laws and customs of a particular religion.
2. Most religious texts are written in such a way as to label all people sinners. It helps keep the money rolling in, and religion is after all a business like any other.
3. Yes to both. Some sins are committed because most religious doctrines run counter to human nature. Also, some people are born with a natural tendency to do what they know they should not.
4. This has to be taken on a religion by religion basis. Usually, however, the penalties imposed by any deity are the worst that people can imagine (in all their sick and twisted imagination).
5. Yes, though most of these occur because many sins have been codified into penal law, and therefore have penalties enforced by some governmental body.

1. Sin is anything that we do that God says we shouldn't.
2. All people are sinners, Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
3. We sin because we are sinners. When Adam and Eve sinned it gave everyone a sinful nature and that's why we all sin. You don't have to teach a toddler to lie, you have to teach them to tell the truth.
4. Hell. God's penalty for sin is Hell. He does provide a way out through Jesus. All you have to do is ask for forgiveness.
5. Well that all kind of depends on the sin. If you steal, and get caught, you go to jail or get fined. If you murder you go to jail. If you disobey your parents, you get grounded. Just to name a few examples.

#1: Sin is a term used mainly in a religious context to describe an act that violates a moral code of conduct or the state of having committed such a violation. In monotheistic religions, the code of conduct is determined by God. Colloquially, any thought, word, or act considered immoral, shameful, harmful, or alienative might be termed "sinful".
#2: For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23, 24
#3: People sin because they know no better. When Eve disobeyed God (and Adam after her) they became sinners, and all of their blood became sinners. In the end the 'sins' became worse and worse, we sin because we are naturally sinners and we are sinners becuase... naturally, we sin...
#4: Those who do not except Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour over their life (and do not confess their sins and ask for forgivness) are going to hell, that is their punishment. "John 14:6 Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" The Father is in Heaven, accept Jesus, confess your sins (and don't do them again) and you are unlikely to spend eternity in that lake of fire.
#5: This I can not answer for I do not know.
Hope my answers helped you.

humans are natural sinners, says so in the Bible. we are born sinners.
humans were given at birth free agency to choose right or wrong.
we will not be punished for adams transgressions. we will be punished for our own.
God is merciful, but God can only look away so many times.
if you deliberately keep comitting the same sins, over and over, and ask for forgiveness for them over and over...God can only forgive so much.
it aches Him to see us sin continuously. but that is why we are here. this is a test.
who is on the Lords side? who is on Lucifers side?
whos side on you on? and are you living proof of it, that is the question.
humans have turned their backs on heaven over the years. society is failing. families torn apart, verbally, sexually, physicially, mentally.
there is so much sin - the end is near. many are not aware of the 2nd coming, and they play, and they lie, and they commit whoredoms, like it is no big deal.
God is watching, God is fully aware.
and when it comes it will be too late for many. and it will be a sick and terrible day.
many are called, but few are chosen.
many elite, will fall. men leaving families for something better. wives leaving children for something better. siblings killing siblings, parents. children killing other children.
sexual abuse is very high these days. a lot of it stays hidden in churches, not just the catholics. heaven forbid for a priesthood holder to rape his daughter, molest his little boy. beat his wife.
there is so much evil, so much.
just do what you need to do and stay close to God.
these are my words/my opinions. not pointing fingers. that is what this is for, to express freely of ones thoughts.
