If i had had a sucsessful first date, personally i would arrange a second date right after i gave the the goodnight kiss of her life!
you know the kind the one where it takes a couple of seconds to open your eyes after you have stopped kissing?
I not being a game player would always call the following day, A) to reiterate how much of a great time i had, and B) to show her i was interested and keep myself fresh in her mind!
its not a his job to call Vs her job to call! if you like the guy just call!
Take a risk if it was that good its worth it!

If you got on really well then why risk messing it up by waiting. Get in there asap. She may be the one!
If she calls you it proves she, a) likes you alot and b) is confident to do something about it.
Answer to q 3, see above.
And answering q5, it could be she would think that but there are lots of other reasons why you don't contact her straight away, ie you've been too busy on other dates! you've been away or you are just shy.
As I said before though, if you wait and you really like her, she may decide you're not interested and see someone else.

Yeah you kinda have been given the thought, staring / making eye touch with a female does no longer mean the guy likes her. In MY perspective, it may advise 3 issues: a million. the guy is mushy talking to the girl, and is mushy along with her presence around (only pals). Yes I'd probably call,No it wouldn't put me off if the girl called this ain't the olden days,Id also probably wait a few days,not to seem desperate.No it doesn't mean i'm not interested,means i may be just a little busy,or maybe he wants you to call to see if you're really interested,

well if i really liked her i would call her first probably text her on my way home to say i had a good night and then probably get in touch with her about 2days after that,
the reason i would leave it 2days is just so she don't think I'm a stalker, and texting her on my way home lets her no i did have a good time and i she won't be left thinking i ent herd off him since that night
if the girl calls me first i don't find it off putting, if i liked her and she called me first i would find it encouraging,

I usually leave it for three days before i contact a girl,i woudnt mind a girl contacting me though,i suppose it all depends on how well you both get on after the date???????The practical solution would be to arrange to contact each other at the end of the date????????????good luck

Get in touch, leave it till next day, send a open ended text possibly.
Most of the dates I have been on go well, a few exceptions and they dont even have the common decency to say thanks, no chemistry good luck, tramps.

as a guy i would not be put of if a girl called me,
i would leave to the next day at least to contact someone but if you hit it off i don't think it matters but don't leave it to long

First date?..wait for him to contact you. Playing hard to get never does any harm infact quite the opposite. Men (like women) like a challenge ;-)
Ps ..when he does ring (which he will if he likes you)..don't overdo the playing hard to get..say yes straight away if he asks you out again.
